Rachel Jackson!
“I was introduced to MagnaWave through the rodeo circuit. I remember walking through the grounds at a rodeo in Colorado in 2019 and seeing a girl working on her own horses and asking a friend of mine what she was doing. She explained MagnaWave and talked about how she had her own horses done by the same girl, she also told me what a difference she’s felt like it made in her horses. I didn’t really think about it again until late 2020 when my personal barrel horse, Sly, was going through some major lameness issues that were stumping my veterinary team. After undergoing a double stifle surgery I was desperate to find a way that I could help speed up and facilitate the healing process and keep him comfortable through recovery. After doing extensive research I decided getting a MagnaWave for myself was the best choice. “
“By early 2021 I was taking my certification course as well as going through courses for equine massage and acupressure. From there I discovered my passion and decided to quit my day job and start my business as 1st Choice Equine Therapy, LLC. Being a practitioner is an incredible career. I love meeting people and helping their animals, hearing their stories, and creating wellness plans. Like most practitioners, my absolute favorite part is when my clients begin to see results. Nothing makes my heart swell quite like getting an excited text message or phone call about the progress of their animals since starting sessions with me.”
“I operate mostly out of my facility but still travel when necessary. I have also expanded my clientele into livestock like show steers, pigs and bucking horses. I hope to continue to grow in those areas and continue to learn how to help other species outside of horses and gain connections in those communities. My goal is not only to continue to grow my business this new year but also to nurture the long term clients that have been with me since the beginning of my journey. Although ultimately Sly was pushed into an early retirement due to his lameness, it brings me so much fulfillment and ignites such a passion to help others through their own situations with their animals and see them back in the arena or show ring doing what they love in peak health.”
