Happy Fall, ya’ll! Autumn is officially here, and we are so excited for all that it has to offer. We will be attending multiple events this month, such as the Maryland 5* Event and The Thoroughbred Makeover, and we look forward to seeing many of you practitioners there! Updates for October include a fun contest for our silver affiliates, new updates to the Practitioner Portal and Map, and more. Read on to find out!

The Thoroughbred Makeover

MagnaWave has deep roots within the horse racing industry, as that has how we got our start! We love to be a part of the journey as these thoroughbreds transition into new careers, which is why we support the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover. If you are attending next week and are available for sessions, or if you are competing in the event, let us know at [email protected]!

Meet Our Practitioner Spotlight – Laurie Hills!

Laurie began her career by getting certified in Equine Massage 12 years ago, and continued her education with classes in Equine Anatomy, Biomechanics, Rehab, and more. She says, “I added a PEMF blanket 3 years ago, and while it was a great add-on to my business, it was limiting because I couldn’t use it on ponies, people, or pets.” She soon found MagnaWave through a friend, “A wonderful lady in Iowa suggested MagnaWave products, and said that it’s a good company with ongoing support to help with any questions and or issues a practitioner may have. Becky has been a huge inspiration and shares a lot of her knowledge and skills with me. I purchased my first machine with her recommendations and haven’t looked back!”

“At this time I offer MagnaWave PEMF, Red Light Therapy, Myofascial Releases, Trigger Point Therapy, Fascia Blading, Cupping, Kinesiology Taping, Tens/EMS Therapy, and Saddle Fitting. I also incorporate Thermography in with my work, as this helps to identify areas of heat, plus shows the improvement the PEMF helps to provide. I currently hold 2 certifications in Thermography alone.” Laurie says her favorite part of her job is, ” the deep satisfaction of knowing I helped the animal to begin to heal. I do use many modalities in my line of work, but always finish up with MagnaWave PEMF.”

“My least favorite part of my work is having to tell someone they live too far for me to travel to them; it’s disappointing not to be able to help their horse.” As for the future of her business? Laurie says, “I retired from a full time job to finally be able to help heal animals; I have taken many classes and enjoy teaching others. My goal for the future is to be able to teach and share my knowledge that took me many years to learn. I have also purchased another machine to share with others.”

We love to put wonderful practitioners like Laurie in the spotlight! If you know of a MagnaWave practitioner that you think would be great for our Practitioner Spotlight, email us at [email protected]
